Sorcha Cahillane on Birth Trauma and Sensory Memories

Today we are speaking with Sorcha Cahillane who will be discussing Birth Trauma, Memory, Sensory Experience, Bonding and how Play Therapy can help with all of these.

Sorcha’s focus is on birth trauma for mother and child. She examines if babies who experience birth trauma can later play out that experience in the play therapy room.

Sorcha continues to explain how babies may experience their first sensory memories and experience while still in the womb.

Sorcha is an Accredited Play Therapist working in private practice with children and parents. Trained initially as a Social Worker she has 12 years of experience in working therapeutically with children and families.
